Welcome to the official website of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altoona Pennsylvania.
Trinity Lutheran was founded in the Juniata section of Altoona back in 1886. According to the book History of the Alleghany Evangelical Lutheran Synod, the original church was located in a frame building at the corner of 3rd Avenue and 7th Street. Trinity soon outgrew it’s original home and ground was broken for a new church at 5th Avenue and 6th Street. The first service at our present location was held in March 1907. Today’s Trinity is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and is part of the Allegheny Synod of churches. Trinity Lutheran is located at 408 North 6th Street Altoona PA 16601 (see map below). We offer three weekly services for your convenience. On and off-street parking is available. |
