Trinity Slates October Concert
The Sunderman Memorial Concert Series returns to Trinity Altoona Tuesday October 17th at 7PM. Bruce Vantine’s Cornerstone Chorale and Brass are a nationally auditioned professional ensemble of 20 singers, 6 instrumentalists and narrator. They team up to present more than a concert, it’s words of inspiration in a rich musical setting. Funding for the concert is being provided by the Dr. William Sunderman Endowment, so there is no charge for admission. Sunderman is a deceased member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Trinity Altoona’s annual Church Picnic returns two weeks from today and you’re invited! We’ll be getting together Sunday August 27 at 11AM at the Legion Park Kitchen Pavilion in Hollidaysburg. Meats and beverages will be provided. We invite everyone to bring a hot or cold covered dish to share. Donations of bottled water and canned soda (regular and diet) are still welcomed and may be dropped off anytime in Trinity Hall. Trinity Altoona’s annual Vacation Bible School is back starting Sunday July 30. This year’s theme is “Hero Hotline” featuring Mike the Meerkat (pictured). Young heroes learn to strive for the things that bring peace and the things that build each other up as we’re taught in Romans 14:19. After “paws”ing last year due to a scheduling issue, Trinity Altoona’s Blessing of the Animals returned yesterday to an enthusiastic crowd of our four-legged friends and their two-legged families.
